It's like nature's lego! A beautiful variety of shapes, colours, textures, sizes and smells. There's clearly been a lot of care and thought gone into making these block sets, and I think we enjoy stacking them up as much as the kids!

Playtime with purpose. I don't think I've ever seen him so focused and as he carefully stacks one block on top of the next. And when and he's made something special, he's always so excited to show us! Watching him get better and better, and the tower get higher and higher is very cool!

Every block is hand-crafted from locally sourced, recycled timber and finished with a natural blend of raw linseed and beeswax.

Sustainably sourced

From trees that would have likely otherwise been burnt or gone to landfill. In other words, Timbr Blocks are created from recycled trees rather than recycled wood.

Every piece is unique

Timbr Blocks are made with a range of beautiful home-grown wood species including Macrocarpa, Pukatea, Redwood, Blackwood, English Oak, Eucalyptus, and more.

I recently became an uncle and wanted to give my niece, as well as her Mum and Dad, a cool gift - ideally something fun for the whole family, that was environmentally friendly, NZ made and just a little bit special. 

I found some cool stuff online about wooden balance blocks but the stuff I found wasn’t quite what I was looking for, so I decided to head into the shed and see if I could make something I thought they might like. 

Along the way, I got a bit carried away and now a few months, and many (many) blocks later, it’s evolved into something more. 

My brother and I have now teamed up to try and offer a fun and challenging alternative to typical plastic toys. 

Introducing Timbr Blocks 🌲🧱 

A creative twist on traditional building blocks, Timbr Blocks are designed to challenge young and old to play and build with beautiful natural towers (which is harder than you might think!). With each block having around 20 sides, a set of 7 blocks gives over 1 billion potential combinations, which should keep the kids busy for a while 😊

We’re just on the beginning of this journey, so we’d love to know if anyone might be interested in our blocks.
